Hectic year ahead; I got tentatively offered a freelance copy editing job with Tyndale House Publishers, I'm starting tutoring sessions again (the best paid job I've ever had), I work at the campus post office, and I also work for Judson College Conference Services.

So much to do, so little time. If I get hired by Tyndale, as sad as it will be, I'm quitting my job at CPO. But that's not for sure yet, so I still have to work. They sent me a proofreading packet about a week ago which was basically a test to see how good I was at the whole editing 'thing'. I think I passed parts, I think I horribly failed others, but we'll see. I don't know when I'll find out either; I'm going to send them an e-mail next week sometime to see about my results. Anyhow, either way, it'll be informative.

Oh yeah, on top of all that, as well as having a girlfriend, friends, etc, I also have to write a 10,000 word research paper. That's about 33 pages long. God help me.

That's all.

While talking to her cousins, my lovely and oh-so-intelligent girlfriend said, "Go look at the sky and see if there are any green lights. It's the Aurora Borealis, it's from Canada."

I laughed so hard while kindly reminding her that I'm fairly sure that the Aurora Borealis isn't a Canadian citizen.

I used to like Bond...

Apparently Daniel Craig wants to do a gay scene in the next Bond film. With full frontal nudity. I'm so not a fan of him anymore.

The one where I can't sleep...

So I can't sleep, and I think it's for a variety of reasons.

  • It's hot. Now while many of you may disagree with that, my ideal sleeping temprature is not 74. It's much more like 68. Again, some of you may not understand why 6 degrees makes that much of a difference, but trust me, it does. We have windows open too, but it's only in the mid 50s out there. I think it's because the heaters are on even though they DO NOT NEED TO BE ON YET.
  • I have a lot of crap to get done. I've also had all weekend to get it done. Instead of doing that, I spent time with my lovely girlfriend and I played video games. I know, I'm an idiot.
  • I'm stressed. It's two weeks until school is over, I'm allowed to be stressed.
That's all I can really think of at the moment. I suppose I'll have to figure out how to deal with each of these in time.

Now about the heat; I'm going to have a couple more crap nights, namely until Wed. Both today and Tuesday, the low is supposed to be 49. That's still not cold enough. Wednesday, however, the low dives to 28!! I'm so excited. And as if an answer to my very prayers, the high for Thursday is 32 degrees. Snow on Friday. Yeah, it's about time.

Ok, I'm done now.

Conundrum

So I was looking at tech deals last night online when I noticed a fairly nice graphics card for only $90. Now for some of you that may be a lot, but trust me, it's a good price.

So I checked out the card and made sure it was good, and when I was satisfied that it was, I went ahead and ordered it. Now I was able to get free shipping on this item as well, as long as I could wait 7-9 days for delivery. I knew I could do that if it'd save me money, so I went ahead and did free shipping.

This morning they sent me an e-mail saying that my order had shipped. This was a nice surprise, as it normally takes a day or so before orders get shipped. I then decided to track my order that way I'd have an ETA on the card. To my utter surprise, when I tracked it, the UPS site said it was out for delivery. As in I'm getting it today.

So that's my concundrum, I just confused as to how I ordered it last night, and it's going to be here this afternoon. Hopefully it's just not a glitch; that'd be kinda disappointing. Anyhow, I'm off to class now, and then off to get my package!
